Pssst! The deadly world of spies is coming …

Horrible Histories: Spies opens 25 July

When IWM London partially reopens on 29 July, we have a sneaking suspicion that our brand new family exhibition Horrible Histories®: Spies is not going to be kept secret for long.

Based on Terry Deary’s book Spies from the best-selling Horrible Histories series, the exhibition reveals stories of real spies and their secret schemes during the Second World War. Find out about the double-crossing spies who passed on whopping lies to the enemy, how devious disguises and even fake feet were used to fool the enemy, and what everyday objects might have exploded without warning.

You can see if you’ve got what it takes to become a Super Spy by embarking on your own spy mission through the exhibition, testing your undercover skills as you go. Work out how you would need to change your documents, clothes and face to avoid finding yourself in trouble, crack clever codes to reveal hidden messages, and see if you can peddle fast enough to power your spy radio. And be quick – you never know who might be on your tail!
